You can browse these to get ideas and inspiration for your own garden.

Home visits enable our designer to take into consideration many key elements into the design, and with this garden it was vital that we provided a concept that was in keeping with the properties surroundings.

This is practical, aesthetic design in a contemporary manner, which needed to meet the requirements of both the parents and their children.

When dealing with a large space it is important to try and break up the space with the use of different products but restricting them at the same time, as too many materials can make the space feel busy and uncomfortable.

Paving Layout – Natural Sandstone

Within the Garden Design options available to our customers we can provide you with a simple paving plan. This provides a paving pattern for your contractor/builder to follow, and the quantities of materials required when doing a particular area.

Curvy Terraced Garden

The site is on a gradual slope which opened up opportunities for our designer to create an exciting, interesting design, which helped move you through the garden.

As a result of careful consideration to our customers brief and design principles we were able to provide a well balanced garden for both the adults and children. The adults are able to sit and relax on the Natural Sandstone Terrace whilst keeping a watchful eye on the children on the lower lawn.

Natural products were used within this design, which is important when considering environmental principles. The planting provides a haven for wildlife whilst tying the design together. A small vegetable plot helps sustain a good healthy diet.

A Family Garden

Designed with children in mind, this garden needed to be practical and functional. With the children’s play area neatly tucked away the adults can sit and relax on the patio encompassed by soft planting and lighting.

A Family Garden

The basic ground plan for this garden is formal because it uses simple overlapping shapes to define the various parts of the garden.

The lawn is defined with simple setts that harmonise with the paving and create the sense of movement around the garden.

In this small garden, plants chosen primarily for their foliage qualities are combined with a number of features to produce a dramatic effect.

Paving Layout

A new outdoor living space, which replaced uneven paving, was created to provide our customer with a level patio that linked the back garden with the front.

By choosing a ‘cheerful’ slab, in a shady corner helps give the impression of light and space. The edging contrasted with the chosen paving and gave it that defined finished edge.

The first impressions of any property are always important, and a simple shingle driveway always creates a good response.

Home visits enable our designer to take into consideration many key elements into the design, and with this garden it was vital that we provided a concept that was in keeping with the style of property.

Formality works well when near the house, which is a formal object. But as you move away from the house, a sense of informality will act as an interesting contrast and create a journey of interest. A formal style of garden will give the space a strong sense of order. The use of geometry in the design will provide a feeling of calm.

Low Maintenance Garden

Small rectangular gardens are still open to many possibilities in design, but it is important to break up the view to add a little mystery into the garden. This can be done for example through the use of trellis, where it still allows light into the garden and maintains a view through.

Gravel acts as a link between the hard landscaping surfaces, it also helps to soften a garden, remain low maintenance and you can even introduce planting which grows up through it to add interest.

Contemporary Patio Design

A very modern patio area using the Travertine which when laid produces a cool, clean effect, which could be carried through into the property to create the inside/outside room.

The design included two additional areas as to which the customer could use when entertaining. This was done using complimentary products in Midnight Blue Limestone and Ecodek for the raised hot tub area, due to nature of this product it would be able to stand any excess of water from the tub.

Whilst visiting this customer’s garden project, our designers were able to absorb the fantastic forest views and retain these ascetics within the thought process for this design. Whilst the materials remained traditional, the design we created had a modern style that fitted the customer brief.

The advantage of this site was varying levels within the garden. This opened up huge opportunities to produce a unique and exciting design. Slopes can provide great scope for many exciting features: steps, ramps, screened gardens, dynamic water projects in the form of streams, pools, cascades and waterfalls.

Home visits enable our designer to take into consideration many key elements into the design, and with this garden it was vital that we provided a concept that kept in keeping with the style of property.

This property allowed the design to mix old with new. The property was a new build in an old barn conversion style. The property had a slate roof and to help tie the building in with the ground level we used the slate paving in copper which picked up the colours on the slate roof and the bricks beautifully.

The customer’s specification was to have a path around the property linking the patio areas together, with the use of curves we were able to keep the paving flowing around the property whilst softening the building and creating a unique living space.

Stroud Farm Garden Patio Plan

Home visits enable our designer to take into consideration many key elements into the design, and with this garden it was vital that we provided a concept that kept in keeping with the style of property.

As this was an Old Traditional Farm House the choice of materials would have to be those, that when laid looked as though they have been there for years. The obvious choice for this design was the Millstone range, as this is an established alternative to the genuine reclaimed flagstone which is now difficult to find.

The Elegance Countrystone stays in keeping with both the property and the Millstone range. The use of the Elegance helps break up the expanse of patio whilst playing a vital role by leading you to the different areas.

Terraced Garden

The site is on a steep slope which opened up opportunities for our designer to create an exciting, interesting design, which helped move you through the garden and make the best use of the available space.

As a result of careful consideration to our customers brief and design principles we were able to provide a well balanced garden for both the adults and children. The adults are able to sit and relax on the patio or deck whilst enjoying their new landscaped surroundings and the children could safely play on the top level with a slide that brings them down to the second level.

A Low Maintenance Courtyard Gard

It was paramount that the design produced a Low Maintenance Garden.

The customer had decided upon the Natural Sandstone paving which allowed the design to develop into an interesting modern courtyard.

By implementing sandstone cobbles into the patio area it helped break up the expanse of paving and add interest. The quantity of planting and cobbles balanced the garden to create a well proportioned garden.

Manor Farm House

A guest house set in an idyllic New Forest setting, it was important to use materials that would fit comfortably into its surroundings.

The path was edged with brick which complimented the old farmhouse and in filled with a fine pea shingle.

Courtyard Garden

The customers brief was to create a low-maintenance, elegant courtyard using non-slip materials. This was a simple brief to work with which helped to create a stunning Traditional Courtyard.

With the use of the Saxon paving we were able to provide a surface that was non-slip, and of a light colour which in turn helps improve the feeling of space.

The raised borders help add height and interest to the garden, whilst the planting softens the hard-landscaping aspects.

Redroofs Garden Curvy Patio Plan

The design brief was to create a safe, traditional patio area. The patio was raised to a level which ideally required some sort of barrier.

To ensure the safety of anyone on the patio we implemented a low wall which would also act as a guide leading you towards the rear of the property.

The curve of the wall was mirrored in the paving to lead you back down towards the lawn area. By using curves you are creating a feeling of movement, and its aesthetically pleasing to view.

Pine Crescent Garden Plan

Small courtyard gardens have tight restrictions on what can be created; this therefore requires a skilful design to make the best use of available space. Careful consideration of hard landscaping and planting allows for a successful design that is well proportioned and balanced whilst maintaining the courtyard charm.

Slate Paving Layout

Amid the use of subtle planting which falls gently over the paving, it helped the strong black and white theme create a modern patio. With the customer’s love of the Blue Slate paving and complimented with the Purbeck Chippings, we were able to create a dramatic scene.

Danestream

Our designer visited this garden which enabled her to consider the difficulties of the site and any existing materials, which could be used when implementing ideas for the new patio.

The materials were kept to a minimum which produced a traditional yet modern living space, and the key feature was the exceptionally durable Eastern limestone, which complimented the style of property beautifully.

The patio flowed freely onto the Eco deck where the customer’s hot tub was intended. From here you were encased by the new stone and brick retaining wall with subtle planting.

The Octagonal Garden

The design was based on an octagonal theme, which would coincide with the interior design of the property. Due to the nature of the theme it evolved into a modern/contemporary design.

The Millstone Octant Paving enables you to create octagonal features of any size, which therefore lends itself quite well to our customers theme.

The raised decking uses a product with excellent slip resistance whilst capturing the authentic detail characteristics of weatherworn oak boards. The Millboard provided our customers with a Low Maintenance option, from which they were able to sit, relax and admire the theme from a high view point.
